Final 'S' Sounds
There are a few ways to pronounce the 's' sound (i.e., sound of s, z, iz), depending on the letters at the end of the word before the 's.'
Suggested Activity
Game: The Final 's' board game

Objective:
Students will practice pronouncing different sounds.
​
Directions:

Divide students into pairs and give them the game handout and dice.

Have students take turns. Students will roll the die to move to the next word to say aloud.
-
When the student has properly pronounced the word, they can put a checkmark in the box.
-
Repeat the steps 2 and 3 until they reach the finish line.
